Welcome! My name is Mark Ritter, and this is the blog for Ritter Photography. I have been photographing wedding photography since 1991. I graduated in 1991 from RIT majoring in Professional Photographic Illustration. Post graduation, I worked with various Professional Photographers and Technicians at The Time - Life Magazines Company in New York. I have an eye for detail, and continue to strive for visual perfection. Trained in all aspects of Commercial Photography, I now specialize in both Wedding Photography, and Illustrative “Character” Portraiture.
My studio is located in a suburb of Binghamton, New York. I am available for travel and Destination Photography anywhere in the U.S. and overseas.
Each and every wedding is special, I attempt to capture every moment in time the day of the wedding. A bride and groom have only one day to get married, and it the most important day of her and his life... I attempt to make the final images look like a story that describe this wonderful day, and capture the emotion of everyone involved. Superior quality and care is given with capturing these intrinsically valuable images.
Portraits
Personally, I feel a portrait is a depiction of a persons life captured in a moment of time that can never be relived. Each of us are given moments in time, and I have been blessed with the gift of capturing moments. With each image, time is frozen instantly. Within the frame, I attempt to capture the personality of each person. A motion picture, or movie is able to record sound and movements of a subject with movement. With still photography, it is more difficult to depict personality with only one fraction of a second.
